A damp proof course helps to prevent damp rising up the walls and damaging the property. Damage that can be caused from damp includes damage to plaster, resulting in redecoration, wet rot or even dry rot which can affect any unprotected timber.

Damp proofing is usually installed when a building is being constructed. In existing buildings, a damp proof course injection is applied via holes drilled into the walls, to create a water repellent barrier.

One of the most significant benefits of this type of treatment is that it can be applied to walls that have already suffered from a severe case of water saturation, meaning that a building could be saved when more extensive demolition and rebuilding work may otherwise have been necessary.

The Sovereign range of Injection Pumps comprises a range of products and accessories specially designed for the high pressure injection, spraying timber preservatives, water repellents or fungicidal wall solution.
