Sovereign Hey’di K11 is a salt resistant cementitious tanking compound for the protection of structures against water from the ground and which maybe potentially subject to hydrostatic pressure. K11 can be used on the external side of buildings below ground level where positive pressure exists, or on the internal (negative) side, without the need to build supporting walls. The Sovereign Hey’di tanking system is fully covered by British Board of Agrement Certificate 91/2608.

Once cured K11 is impervious to water and the system has been independently tested to withstand greater than 10 bars of pressure on the negative side (over 100 metres head of water) with a coating thickness of 4 mm in two coats.

Hey’di Antisulphate is used to treat damp, salt affected masonry. It is an essential element of the Hey’di K11 basement tanking system and is also useful in the treatment of above ground structures such as chimney breasts and in the treatment of flood damaged properties. Various specifications are available from the technical department on request.

Hey’di Antisulphate chemically reacts with salts in masonry, converting soluble salts into water insoluble reaction products, preventing their movement in to newly applied tanking and renders.

Hey’di Powder X System is a combination of cementitious and silicate based materials used on negative side surfaces to seal and stop leakage caused by hydrostatic pressure. Hey’di Powder X is a dry powder that hardens in seconds when exposed to water.

Bonding Agent is a dispersion polymer of carboxylated styrene butadiene copolymer. It has been extensively used in the building industry for many years in the modification of cementitious systems. Unlike PVA when used in damp areas Bonding Agent will not re-emulsify and should therefore be specified for all external situations. Bonding Agent contains antifoam to help prevent excessive air entrainment and an antioxidant to give extended durability.

Can be used in both renders and floor screeds and is an integral part of the Hey’di K11 Tanking System. Renders and screeds show greatly improved adhesion to the substrate, reduced cracking and surface dusting. Furthermore, resistance to water and the passage of salts is greatly improved making it ideal for external use. Bonding Agent can also be used as a primer and sealer to improve inter-coat adhesion between successive layers. When used in concrete repair the addition of Bonding Agent greatly enhances the resistance of the concrete to carbonation and protects steel from corrosion. Its use in screeds allows work to be carried out in much thinner sections whilst maintaining performance levels.

Sovereign Hey’di Barrier Mortar is a hydrophobic, non-shrinking repair mortar. It is an integral part of the Sovereign Hey’di K11 Tanking System, used to create a fillet at wall/wall and wall/floor junctures.

Forms a water resistant mortar that does not shrink and has excellent adhesion to concrete and mortar. Can be used as a general repair mortar where shrinkage must be avoided. Barrier Mortar has a long pot life, typically 5 hours ensuring that wastage is kept to a minimum.
